These quasi-rectangles were first cut out of copper and then I melted a bit of silver on the copper and then textured the whole thing with a disk cutter and flame painted to patina the copper.  The amethyst and tourmaline beads are attached with wrapped loops to ensure they are secure. The leverback earwires will keep these earring securely in your ears.
 
Total length from the top of the ear wire is 2.5 inches.
 
The patina has been sealed, but still can be affected by chemicals so avoid exposure to shampoo, lotions, and polishing compounds.  It will likely darken some over time.
